1. Charles Bradley: Soul of America (2012)

Lots of good music documentaries coming out this year. This man’s music and story is just so fucking inspirational. No Time For Dreaming was one of the best albums last year that you probably didn’t hear. This Jay Reatard documentary looks pretty excellent as well.

  2. No Church In The Wild (Mixtape)

Here’s a little mix of some of my favourite artists and songs from this year. When I started making this, I noticed a lot of the tracks had “god” or religious imagery in their titles or lyrics, so I decided to name this mixtape “No Church In The Wild”. If you like this, let me know, I still might make a second “best-of” hip-hop and R&B mixtape. Here’s to 2012!

    1. Dirty Beaches - “Lord Knows Best”

    2. Charles Bradley - “The World (Is Going Up In Flames)”

    3. Wavves feat. Best Coast - “Nodding Off”

    4. Ty Segall - “You Make The Sun Fry”

    5. Bleached - “Think Of You”

    6. Cults - “Oh, My God”

    7. WU LYF - “Heavy Pop”
